Privacy policy
This notice explains how personal data is used on I WAS HERE. — The One Million Project.
Data we use
Purchases are linked to your email. Access to manage them uses a single-use email link, stored as a hash and valid for 15 minutes, and a secure session. No password is required. Your profile may contain a name, alias, photo, message and links you choose to publish. Purchases record the selected numbers, amount, cause, status and payment references. We do not store your full card number.
Why and on what basis
We use account, profile and purchase data to provide the service and process your orders (performance of a contract). We keep necessary payment and audit records to meet legal obligations and protect the integrity of transactions (legal obligation or legitimate interest, as applicable). Optional first-party visit statistics run only with your consent. You can withdraw that consent in Cookie preferences.
Public information and recipients
If your profile is public, its chosen content, alias and Click totals may appear on the site and in rankings. Stripe handles checkout and payment data on its own service. Hosting, database and email service providers process data to operate the site. We share data with authorities when legally required. External profile links open only when you select them.
How long we keep data
Account and profile data is kept while the account is active. Deleting a user removes their sign-in access and public profile details and releases their Clicks; purchase and payment records remain in the audit history where needed for accounting, disputes and legal obligations. Individual visit and outgoing-click records are removed after 30 days by scheduled maintenance; aggregate counters may remain. Other records are kept only for the time needed for their purpose or the applicable legal period.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing where applicable. You can also withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. If you believe your rights have been breached, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD).
Cookies
Essential cookies support sessions and preferences. Optional statistics are described in the Cookie policy, where you can change your choice.
Optional approximate city on the homepage
If you choose this option during checkout, we send your IP address to ipwho.is once to estimate your city, country and city-level coordinates. We save only that approximate location with your purchase and may show it on the homepage beside your public Click. We do not save or display your IP for this feature. IP location can be wrong. Leave the option unchecked to keep your location off the homepage; contact us to remove a previously shared location.
